Jupiter, FL (Sports Network) - Mike Stanton hit a two-run homer, helping the Florida Marlins take a 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins in Grapefruit League action.

Emilio Bonifacio recorded two hits for the Marlins, while Chris Volstad allowed four runs in a 2 1/3-inning start. Volstad gave up five hits, walked four and struck out one.

Florida played without shortstop Hanley Ramirez, who was scratched because of a tight groin and is listed as day-to-day.

Jason Kubel hit a three-run homer for the Twins, who got two hits apiece from Denard Span and Wilson Ramos. Minnesota starter Francisco Liriano gave up three runs on four hits in three innings, though struck out six and walked none.
